How we do Shakespeare

Form 1 (Years 1, 2 and 3) we've so far covered nine Shakespeare plays. How we do it is very easy:

1. Read a retelling.  The two main books I use are
- Beautiful Tales from Shakespeare by E. Nesbit
-Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare

I prefer Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare, but it doesn't have all the plays in.

2. Either as we're going along, or just afterwards, we do a character map, which shows the relationship between the main characters.


Today we finished Measure for Measure, and I thought I'd lay out all our character maps for a photo:

Next Year, when B8 is in Year 4  (Form 2) we'll start reading some of the actual plays.
