Poetry

We do daily poetry in our home school schedule. In practice probably 5-20 minutes per day.
Our poetry is under three categories;

- we always have a poem we are memorizing (we keep doing it till the boys have it memorized, usually it only takes 3-5 readings.)

- we have one poet whose poetry we are reading for the term

- then some "for fun" poems.

The poems are all beautiful classic poems, with rich language. Lots of the modern-day poetry that I see in books at the library doesn't make my cut.
